Kale
Kale comse in a gallon-sized storage bag, and weighs about 8 oz.
This year we mostly have black magic kale, which may be a little different than what you're used to seeing. It's hearty and mild, and easy to use. It may be mixed with some other varieties, depending on what it ready to harvest.
Kale is one of the most nutrient-dense leafy greens you can eat, packed with vitamins A, C, and K, along with calcium, iron, potassium, and fiber. It's also rich in antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin, which support eye health, and contains compounds that help the body's natural detoxification processes. Young kale leaves are delicious fresh in salads or smoothies, while mature leaves are perfect sautéed with garlic, added to soups, mixed into pasta dishes, or baked into crispy kale chips. Its hearty texture and mild, earthy flavor make it an easy and versatile way to add a powerful nutritional boost to everyday meals. Salad, sandwiches, baked as kale chips, thrown in smoothies, and added to soups. Kale is so versatile!
